Love the picture and the caption. Cool beans, or, er, a, corn? 🙂

I got about 10 shots as we zoomed down the highway. Felt like we were in a corn tunnel.

I love the picture! I grew up in Iowa and always enjoyed watching the car’s shadow in the fields. Now my husband is a pilot and I get to see the shadow of the plane on the crops.

Love this photo, Peg. Hope you’re doing well. I was just thinking about you today. I’ve got an apple pie baking in the oven as I type this and I plan on eating most of it for dinner, because I love fall.
LikeLike
Did you save me any of that pie? How’s school going for you and the kids? I have a vision of the three of you sitting around the kitchen table around 4 o’clock, all doing your homework and having an after-school snack.

If only. Reality is far different. It’s more like the kids running in circles around me while my head implodes from all the studying.

Good picture. Looks like a scene out of “Signs.”

I still haven’t seen that movie – do you recommend it?
LikeLike
Yeah, it’s pretty entertaining (if a bit hokey). Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the cornfield.

The sun was just about horizontal in the sky – clear, beautiful day.

Absolute favorite time of year.

Me too, except the days are getting shorter. And fall means that winter is just around the corner. And another year has almost passed and I’m that much older and nearer to death. But I absolutely love fall!

I’ve never seen that movie. Waaaaay too creepy for me.

Wow! It really looks like fall! Gorgeous!

It does, doesn’t it? Except it’s supposed to get up in the high 90s this week – that is NOT what fall is about!

We are dropping into the low 70’s. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We’re in the middle of a heat wave, which is tempering my excitement about fall.

Any color changes your way? Around here it’s just a change in the quality of the light – hard to describe.

I know what you mean.
No color change yet, but we’re feeling the breezes and temps have fallen from the 100’s to the low 90’s.

Nice shot, Peg. It is beginning to look like fall.

I love fall, except with the reminders of death and all that stuff. 😉

Ooh, lovely photo! Fall makes me happy. Winter…not so much (snow & slushy roads & darkness by 4 pm & mud = 😦 ). But for a few blissful weeks it is fall; apple pies, cable knit sweaters and beautiful frosty October mornings.

Me too, except we need to get through this 90+ degree weather first. I’m craving ice cream right now!

This is a very cool picture, reminding us Autum is upon us (except here in Texas). Very nice.

It’s hot here in Illinois, too. Hard to get in the mood for wool and cider when your face is melting off.

I’ve got a bunch of them, but this was the best. As the road dipped our shadow would be on the grass, then the corn, then a farmhouse, then back to corn. Made me dizzy!

Thanks, SIG. You’re a gentleman AND a fab artist, even if you are a bit grumbly sometimes.

I have left several of my hard-earned dollars at that mall, but when I say downstate, I mean in the middle of the corn.
