I’m over at The Nudge Wink Report today talking about college tuition and prison reform. I promise the topic’s not as much of a snooze-fest as it sounds.

    I was just reading an article on how we’re so short of plumbers and carpenters. It might make sense to train prisoners in these types of fields. Less expensive than a college degree but still gives them a vocation when they get out. Might keep the recidivism rate down.

      No need to find your silly, Carrie. My silly is just a wrap around a serious subject.

      I think you have an excellent idea, which makes much more sense than college degrees. In fact, I think trade school is a much better choice for many, if not most, college-bound non-offenders

        We’ve done such a good job of steering everyone to a four-year degree, we have no one left to build our houses and fix our plumping. Great article about this in USA Today recently. And those trades can make great money.
