OK, I don’t even know what a blog is. So what’s this? Why are you doing it, you ask? Blame it on Ireland.

Sister Lib (meaning my sister, not a member of a religious order) and I just got back from a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Emerald Isle. We started emailing about 1-1/2 months ago, planning the trip and getting the details nailed down. We cc’d just about everyone in our family with the details. Now that we’re back on US terra firma, we’ve been emailing details of our trip. I sat down to email another batch of ramblings at lunch today, and it turned into a novel. It struck me, in a blinding flash of light, that not everyone will be interested in all this stuff showing up in their email inboxes. I know, hard to believe. So I remembered a suggestion put forth by my sister-in-law Lisa, who knows these things. “You should start a blog.” And so I did. And here it is.

I don’t know how this is going to work, how others can post, adding pictures, etc. I’ll figure that out as we go along. I’ll send the link to family members who MIGHT be interested, and you can read, post, yawn or turn away as you like. Keep your fingers crossed…
