I keep waiting to see a Listeria recall on Listerine mouthwash. But so far I’ve only seen them on some of my really unhealthy “10 Things You Should Never Write About” List type posts. 😉 Happy New Year Peg. Just finished enjoying your Target/Hamburger helper post… Lol.

Ha! Listeria DOES sound like it should come from Listerine. Thanks for reading.

I thought Listeria is the country where they make Listerine?

No, listeria is a special kind of hysteria that grips the public when it learns that the food supply isn’t safe.

I tried to get aboard the Eat Crap Train, but I couldn’t run fast enough to catch up. I think it has to do with all the crap I eat.

The only time in my life I suffered a serious injury was when I wrenched my back on a piece of equipment at the gym. That was 20 years ago and I still have to be careful about how I pick up a can of peaches that fell off the counter onto the floor. I never hurt my back watching TV. Not once.

You know, you’re right. The gym is clearly a lot more dangerous than in front of the tube. One rarely hears of hamstrings pulled while reaching for a big bowl ‘o popcorn.
That peaches part is pretty darn specific. Is peaches-can-strain a thing?

People keep talking about eating healthy, fresh, unprocessed foods like our ancestors, but our ancestors used to die at forty. I bet penicillin and antibiotics are even more processed than Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

And we like our penicillin processed. Even if our ancestors had some, they scraped it off of moldy bread in the pantry so they were goners anyway.

Sorry, I am late to the party, but January 27 was also my birthday…I consumed an entire chocolate cake for National Chocolate Cake day and only just now awoke from the calorie induced coma. I have never injured myself eating “Death by Chocolate” ice cream (it’s a real thing and I can’t get it here in Florida) but I have, however, choked on a carrot slice. Need more proof than that? I think not.
