Stay Healthy: Eat Crap

Healthfoodbad

Every time I resolve to start eating healthy, science comes along with a good reason not to.

Thank you, science.

  5. I keep waiting to see a Listeria recall on Listerine mouthwash. But so far I’ve only seen them on some of my really unhealthy “10 Things You Should Never Write About” List type posts. 😉 Happy New Year Peg. Just finished enjoying your Target/Hamburger helper post… Lol.

Here again, I’m ahead of my time and get no credit for it. I’ve been aboard the eat crap train for many years. On the menu tonight……chocolate chip cookies with a snickers bar chaser.

  9. The only time in my life I suffered a serious injury was when I wrenched my back on a piece of equipment at the gym. That was 20 years ago and I still have to be careful about how I pick up a can of peaches that fell off the counter onto the floor. I never hurt my back watching TV. Not once.

You know, you’re right. The gym is clearly a lot more dangerous than in front of the tube. One rarely hears of hamstrings pulled while reaching for a big bowl ‘o popcorn.

That peaches part is pretty darn specific. Is peaches-can-strain a thing?

  10. A sound and rational argument for staying safe and eating things that won’t get the bad germies…..at least I think not. 🙂

Of course you should eat food with lots of preservatives, so it’ll preserve you! 🙂

  15. People keep talking about eating healthy, fresh, unprocessed foods like our ancestors, but our ancestors used to die at forty. I bet penicillin and antibiotics are even more processed than Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Well, there were some recalls of Blue Bell ice cream, but since I always buy Haagen Dazs or Ben & Jerry’s, I’m not worried. Quality junk food!

Sorry, I am late to the party, but January 27 was also my birthday…I consumed an entire chocolate cake for National Chocolate Cake day and only just now awoke from the calorie induced coma. I have never injured myself eating “Death by Chocolate” ice cream (it’s a real thing and I can’t get it here in Florida) but I have, however, choked on a carrot slice. Need more proof than that? I think not.

Happy belated birthday! So sorry to hear about your carrot incident. Just one more bit of proof that healthy food is unhealthy.

I can’t believe I missed an important holiday like National Chocolate Cake day. Is it too late to celebrate?
