I asked and you delivered. Time to vote for your favorite in my first, annual Ho-Ho Holiday Caption Contest. Or my one-and-only contest ever, depending on future levels of motivation.
It was hard to pick just a handful but, after a couple of cups of spiked egg nog, our distinguished panel of judges selected the following. The second one is a comment more than a caption, but it made me giggle so I had to have it in.
You are only allowed to vote once, but you may try to stuff the ballot box by driving bus-loads of people over to vote. That’s a rich, Chicago tradition. So is having dead people vote, which you can do if you can figure out how. Voting ends on Thursday, Dec 10th at 5pm Central time.
Good luck!
How did I miss this?! As you know, I live for caption contests.
Good luck to all the entrants!

I’ve been away from blogging for a bit again, and just this morning I saw your post about this and thought I would come back later with an amazingly hilarious fantastic caption. Seriously I was JUST ABOUT to be inspired with an amazingly hilarious fantastic caption when this post arrived and I was too late. I could have been a contender Peggy.

What a fun couple of posts this proved to be. Great idea, Peg. You’ll have to make it an annual event!

Annual like the hurricane season or seven-year swarming phase of locust? Don’t forget to swap out the picture next year. Make us work for it.

But don’t make us work too hard. We’re all rather slothenly at heart.

I’m just happy to know that neither Donald Trump nor Hillary Clinton are among the frontrunners.

Carrie is stiff competition but I am honored to be included in the finals. If I come in second place and Carrie has an unfortunate hard drive malfunction, that would mean I’d move to first place, right? I think she lives in Ohio…

I’m glad I didn’t miss the vote (even though I missed putting in a caption–dang). All were great, but I managed to pick one stand out…or fall down, as the case may be! 😉
