An apparently famous person, Ariana Grande, set off a minor firestorm last week when her tongue came in contact with a tray of donuts. Said donuts were on the counter of a donut shop at the time. Her tongue had a busy day indeed as it followed this up by leading the rest of her mouth in saying a rather filthy curse word, then “I hate Americans. I hate America.” Her tongue finished up its Tacky Tour by tangling with her boyfriend’s.

Years ago, a celebrity who wanted to raise their profile would release a sex tape. Today, it’s a tape of a celebrity licking donuts. I can’t decide if that’s an improvement, though.

I keep missing these opportunities for fame…or infamy. How will I ever sell my books if I don’t get famous/infamous by doing some crazy-ass thing. But I suppose if do said crazy-ass thing and I’m NOT already famous/infamous, I’ll get hauled off to some institution and the key (or key code) will get lost, right? 😐 I’m having this terrible craving for a glazed something…

Exactly, Lorna. If you’re already famous it’s free publicity. If not, it’s the kind of notoriety in your local paper that will make you a social pariah.
